Manufacturing Process
Production
The manufacture of this type of steel poles requires a series of precise technical interventions supported by sophisticated machinery and highly qualified and trained personnel.
Cutting, folding, welding and sometimes bending processes as well as specific operations or product customization requested by our customers are the usual processes to be carried out in the manufacture of our products.
The production center located in Épila (Zaragoza) is able to manufacture any type of support for public lighting, hihg mast towers and all of its variants (sports lighting, mobile towers…), calculation and manufacture of catenary supports, wind farm measurement poles, as well as any application that can be performed by tubular supports.
The production center located in Láchar (Granada) is able to develop any type of lighting support as well as specialized in the realization of decorative lighting poles.
Galvanized
In accordance with ISO 1461:2023 standards, we proceed to protect our products by immersing them in a molten zinc bath at 450º.
The objective of this process is to protect the product against corrosion due to humidity and/or environmental contamination.
The phases of this process are:
- Acid degreasing of the product
- Pickling with hydrochloric acid to eliminate slag.
- Rinsing in aqueous solution
- Activation of the metal surface through the fluxing stage and subsequent drying.
- Galvanizing of the part in zinc crucible melted at 450º.
- Air cooling of the product
Painting
Within a strict respect for the environment and safety compliance in its application, we have two options in the painting process according to the requirements of the customer or project to be carried out.
- Application through an aerosol-liquid process by applying a layer of enamel.
- Application of powder thermo-lacquered paint.
- Both processes have special finishing options, summarized as follows
- Anti-rust application on the underside of the substrate.
- Anti-graffiti / anti-poster application
- Finishing according to ISO12944 standard C4 / C5 finish for marine environments.
- If you require a finish not indicated here, do not hesitate to ask for it.
Standards
Bacolsa has AENOR Company Registration according to the ISO 9001 standard.
Our products have both the CE marking according to the Construction Products Regulation (EU) No 305/2011 of March 9, 2011 and its corresponding harmonized standard EN 40-5, as well as the N mark of AENOR, which distinguish the quality of our products.
